First, find Front Clip Reading Glasses your current prescription. I keep mine in the health file in my filing cabinet. If you cannot find your prescription, visit wherever you previously had your eye examined and demand a copy. Your optician, optometrist, or ophthalmologist is necessary by law to release your eyewear prescription for you. You now need to make note of a few critical pieces of information from your prescription (see example above–click to enlarge). Among other information, you should see three columns on your prescription–sphere, cylinder, and axis.
Front Clip Reading Glasses Best Choices » Inside the example above, they are abbreviated SPH. CYL. and AXIS. These three columns will have two rows, Right and Still left. Within the prescription above, this is merely abbreviated R and L. Many doctors instead use the latin abbreviations, that are OD and OS. OD means right vision and OS means remaining eye. Write down a quick copy of the six amounts or simply maintain your prescription handy. These six critical amounts define how your zoom lens will be carved. A somewhat less critical quantity is your temple size. If you’re blessed, you’ll also visit a temple period and bridge size in your prescription. If not, don’t sweat it, you can shape it out yourself. The temple size describes the length of both bars that connect the eyeglasses to your ears.

Now, remove some measuring tape (ideally the kind of tape used for fitted clothes and sewing, as it is very flexible) and measure an existing pair of spectacles that fit comfortably. An average temple duration for men is 135mm or 145mm. For girls, 130mm to 140mm is standard. If your tape only has ins, measure to the nearest eighth or sixteenth and multiply that number by 25.4 to receive the dimension in millimeters. Temple lengths are usually available in 5mm increments, such as 130, 135, 140, 145, etc. For the most part online eyeglasses stores, temple length is shown within the frame description and is not customizable. Therefore, you will need to find a frame with a proper temple size. This sometimes varies if you are at a site focusing on designer glasses, where you have the option to input your own temple size.
Seriously, temple size is not really a huge deal. I have one pair of eyeglasses with 135mm temples and another with 140mm temples. Both pairs fit pleasantly. If for reasons uknown you can’t think of a temple measurement, don’t allow that stop you from making an eyewear purchase online. Instead, simply choose 140mm temples if you are a man and 135mm temples if you are a female. Chances are, this duration will fit pleasantly.
